There are four TRS ActiveCare medical plans - all plans are administered by Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Texas.

ActiveCare HD - a high-deductible plan with a national network of doctors, no primary care physician required.
ActiveCare Primary - a co-pay plan with a statewide network, requires you to choose a primary care physician and get referrals to see specialists. Lower monthly premiums, higher deductible and co-pays.
ActiveCare Primary+ - a co-pay plan with a statewide network, requires you to choose a primary care physician and get referrals to see specialists. Higher monthly premiums, lower deductible and co-pays.
ActiveCare 2 - Closed to new enrollment.
