Orchestra

Founded in 2018, the Dripping Springs ISD orchestra program is open to sixth- through 12th-grade students at Dripping Springs High School, Dripping Springs Middle School and Sycamore Springs Middle School.
Group classes of violin, viola, violoncello and double bass are offered for beginning through advanced players. Instrument techniques, music theory, performance applications and yearly districtwide orchestra competitions are just a few musical opportunities for students to learn, grow and build confidence through music making. All genres of music are studied from classical to modern, including jazz, rock and pop music. Students perform at concerts, school and district functions and participate in UIL Concert & Sightreading, TMEA all-state auditions and UIL Solo & Ensemble.
