Dripping Springs ISD will hold a ceremony for the groundbreaking of the district’s sixth elementary school on Tuesday, June 18 at 10:00 a.m. in the Headwaters neighborhood.
The ceremony will include a brief program and groundbreaking with comments from superintendent Dr. Holly Morris-Kuentz and DSISD board president Dr. Stefani Reinold. All DSISD stakeholders and community members are welcome to attend.
The groundbreaking ceremony will be held on the future site of Elementary #6 off Mira Vista Drive. When entering the Headwaters neighborhood, continue on Headwaters Boulevard after the first roundabout and drive for a half-mile; take the Mira Vista Drive exit off the second roundabout.
Elementary #6, slated to open in the fall of 2025, will accommodate 850 students in grades PK-5. The construction of the campus was approved by voters in the May 2023 Bond to relieve overcrowding at both Dripping Springs Elementary and Walnut Springs Elementary. Pfluger was the architect for the project and American Constructors is the construction manager.
