Dripping Springs ISD and Superintendent Dr. Holly Morris-Kuentz have named Kellie Raymond as the new Dripping Springs Elementary (DSE) principal and Amber Daige as the next Cypress Springs Elementary (CSE) principal.
“Creating opportunities for our leaders to grow is an important part of leading a vibrant organization like DSISD. Mrs. Raymond and Mrs. Daige are accomplished and innovative leaders steeped in the rich traditions of the Dripping Springs community. I know they will bring just as much vision, expertise, and success to their new roles as their previous positions in the district and I am excited about the future for these campuses under their leadership,” Morris-Kuentz stated.
Mrs. Raymond, who opened and served as the Cypress Springs Elementary principal for three years, will return to Dripping Springs Elementary, where she served as principal for six years. A highly respected educational leader and teaching professional with 21 years of experience, Mrs. Raymond has spent 19 years in DSISD with time as an assistant principal at Walnut Springs Elementary and teacher at both Dripping Springs Elementary and Rooster Springs Elementary. In addition to her years of professional experience, Mrs. Raymond holds a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and her Principal and Superintendent Certificates.
“Mrs. Raymond’s unparalleled professional experience and deep commitment to the DSISD community make her an exceptional choice to lead our largest elementary campus, and I am thrilled that she has chosen to return to DSE,” Morris-Kuentz said.
Mrs. Daige is a strong administrator and educational leader entering her 15th year with DSISD. Currently, she is serving as an assistant principal at Walnut Springs Elementary (WSE). Her diverse career includes years as a classroom teacher, dyslexia specialist, reading interventionist, and instructional coach, before earning her principal certification and being promoted to assistant principal at WSE. In addition to a Principal Certification, Mrs. Daige holds a Master of Education degree.
“Mrs. Daige is a talented campus leader, and a gifted communicator and community builder, and I look forward to having her serve DSISD as one of our campus principals.” Morris-Kuentz said.
Both will begin transitioning into their new roles in July.
