The application window for Dripping Springs ISD’s Community Advisory Committees for the 2024-25 school year is now open through Friday, August 30.
The success of Dripping Springs ISD is dependent on its partnership and effective engagement between district administration and the community’s stakeholders including parents, taxpayers, businesses and others. These diverse stakeholders provide valuable insight, expertise, and feedback for the district through DSISD’s Community Advisory Committees.
Community Advisory Committees strengthen the ties between the district, its campuses, and the community and enhance the core educational process. Committees provide input to the district on a variety of subjects, including district and campus planning, academic programming, student health initiatives, and long-range facilities and bond planning, among others.
Stakeholders may apply for as many committees as they like, however, participants are limited to serving on one community advisory committee per year. A list of committees and their application forms for the 2024-25 school year are as follows:
COMMUNITY ADVISORY COMMITTEES
Applications will be reviewed and stakeholders will be notified no later than October 1 if they have been selected for a committee. Applicants are evaluated based on the following criteria:
Relevant areas of expertise and credentials;
Equitable campus and demographic representation;
Prior or current membership on district-level or campus-level committees;
Prior or current membership on community committees;
Individual interest and rationale for applying to serve on the specified committee.
