Construction crews are working around the clock on renovation projects at Dripping Springs Elementary (built 1987) and Dripping Springs Middle School (built 1985) this summer! Work will continue until the start of school and start up again next summer. Among the work being done at both campuses are safety and security upgrades including front office and secure vestibule redesign along with new flooring, walls, ceilings, lighting and HVAC. At Dripping Springs High School, new lighting is being installed in the competition and A and B gyms, and new flooring is being laid down in the competition gym, replacing the flooring from 2010.
Earlier this week, leaders from Dripping Springs ISD, Hays CISD, and Wimberley ISD participated in reunification training by The "I Love U Guys" Foundation. The two-day training covered the Standard Response Protocol and Standard Reunification Model to safely reunite students with parents during a school crisis or emergency. Thank you to Commissioner Walt Smith and the Hays County Office of Emergency Services for the grant funds to provide this valuable training.
