More than 30 Dripping Springs High School band students qualified for the UIL State Solo and Ensemble Contest after performing their pieces from memory and receiving the highest rating at the Region 18 Solo and Ensemble Contest.
Dripping Springs was represented by more than 130 students at the region contest at Hays High School with 80 students and four ensembles earning the highest rating of “1”.
The UIL State Solo and Ensemble Contest will be held May 24-26 in Austin.
