Congratulations to Dripping Springs High School sophomore Grant Gillum and Dripping Springs Middle School sixth-grader Nora Gillum on capturing state titles for their individual websites at the Texas History Day Contest! This is Grant's fourth-straight state title! They now advance to compete in the National History Day Contest from June 8-13 at the University of Maryland.


Congratulations to the Dripping Springs High School choirs, bands and orchestra for their success at UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Evaluation this spring!
All three DSHS choirs (Varsity Treble, Varsity Mixed, JV Treble) earned "Sweepstakes" with top ratings across the board from the judges. DSISD's top orchestra, Camerata, and the DSHS Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Bands also earned Sweepstakes with their performances. The Concert Band collected Superior ratings for their concert portion and overall Excellent ratings in sight-reading.

The students will be recognized at the April 22 DSISD Board of Trustees meeting and at the Senior Academic Awards Ceremony on May 15. The students will also be the first to walk the stage at the DSHS Class of 2024 graduation ceremony on May 31.

On Saturday, April 13, the Dripping Springs Special Olympics team competed at the Area 13 Track & Field Meet in Leander. Sixteen athletes and eight unified partners competed for the Tigers, collecting more than 20 medals on the day! Congratulations to all of our athletes on a successful area meet!







For the 5th straight year, DSISD has been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from The NAMM Foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education! This distinction is awarded to districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement for providing music access and education to all students.
