Test Accommodations Request Process                       

Students who have a 504 or IEP in place may be eligible for accommodations for SAT, PSAT, AP, and ACT testing. It is important to note that, if a student has testing accommodations for STAAR/EOC, these do not automatically get approved for other tests.  If your student qualifies and if they are planning to take an SAT, PSAT, ACT or AP exam this school year, please contact the Campus Testing Coordinator to have their testing accommodations submitted for approval to these testing organizations. 

SAT, PSAT, AP and ACT each have accommodation request deadlines that are generally weeks, or even months, before the date of the exam. The student and/or parent must be proactive in making sure they notify the Campus Testing Coordinator prior to the deadline to ensure every student has what they need for each test administration. Parents and students will receive an email from DSHS Testing with the accommodations request deadlines prior to each exam.
