On Saturday, the Dripping Springs High School cheer squad placed 13th out of 75 6A Division 2 schools at the UIL Spirit State Championships! The Tigers matched their highest state finish in program history (2022) and earned their best finish as a 6A program. Congratulations, Tigers!🐅🐾

With the Winter Storm Warning that is in effect for our area, all DSISD schools and district offices will be closed Tuesday, January 21. This closure includes all activities, events, and meetings scheduled for Tuesday.

Good luck to the Dripping Springs High School cheer squad as they travel to Fort Worth to compete in the UIL Spirit State Championships! The squad performs in the qualifying round on Saturday at 8:30 AM at the Fort Worth Convention Center.

January is School Board Recognition Month! The 2025 theme, "Leadership for Tomorrow's Texas", emphasizes the critical role school board members play in shaping the future of our state. School Board service is a volunteer position with no salary. Trustees are required to complete annual mandated training in addition to countless hours dedicated to campus visits, events and meetings. A reminder that Friday is an early release day for all DSISD campuses! Buses will run 3 hours earlier than normal. PK-2nd grade bus riders must have a parent or designee to meet the student at the bus stop in the afternoon.


The DSISD Board of Trustees approved the 2025-26 Academic Calendar at the Dec. 16 board meeting. To reduce the total number of instructional days during the school year, 10 minutes have been added to each school day. On Wednesday, the Citizens' Bond Steering Committee (CBSC), composed of parents, students and community members, held their sixth and final meeting. Thank you to the 40 committee members for their work over the past couple of months to help develop a bond package recommendation for consideration by the DSISD Board of Trustees!
